Children’s Center Holds “Roof Sit Challenge”

Northern Door Children’s Center (NDCC) in Sister Bay announced a new fundraising event, the “Roof Sit Challenge.” On Sept. 19 and 20 from 8 am – 6 pm, volunteer members of the community will take shifts sitting on the roof of the children’s center. Each “roof sitter” will collect donations to benefit NDCC for their time on the roof. Also, volunteers and NDCC staff members will grill and sell hot dogs, chips and drinks in front of the Children’s Center from 4 – 6 pm.

On Sept. 20, homemade baked goods and coffee will be available for purchase at NDCC from 8 – 11 am. In addition, NDCC students and alumni will collect “Tips for Kids” by working in teams to bag groceries at the Piggly Wiggly from 9 am – noon. The students will also wash windshields for tips at the Country Walk BP gas station from 9 am – noon.

All proceeds of the Roof Sit Challenge Fundraising event will go toward installing a new metal roof on the Northern Door Children’s Center. For more information call 920.854.4244.
