Christian Jensen Stepping Down at myTEAM TRIUMPH

Christian Jensen – the founder and the only executive director thus far in the 13-year run of myTEAM TRIUMPH (mTT) – has announced he’s stepping down from his role Jan. 30 and moving on to a position with St. John’s Ministries in Green Bay.

myTEAM TRIUMPH provides support for people with diverse abilities to come together in training, racing and social events such as the Door County Half Marathon, Door County Triathlon and a wide range of other events throughout the state and nation. By pairing athletes with disabilities with “angels” who help them compete in endurance events, the organization has enabled hundreds of competitors to cross finish lines that were once off limits to them.

“It has been an immense honor to be at the front of that work for the last 13 years,” Jensen said in a video posted to the myTEAM TRIUMPH website. “However, it is time for new leadership to step in and bring mTT into a new, bright future.”

To that end, operations director Dave Konshak will step into the role of executive director.

“I believe Dave brings a wide range of skills and passion to the mission which are unmatched,” Jensen said. “Dave is a true jack-of-all-trades. He loves to have fun and is incredibly effective as a nonprofit leader. I look forward to supporting him as he steps into this new role and to see what bright future he brings mTT to.”
