Christmas by the Bay Events Return to Sturgeon Bay

Come to Sturgeon Bay for sparkling, holiday fun Nov. 18-20. Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center (SBVC) turns on the holiday charm during the annual Christmas by the Bay celebration with a weekend of family friendly activities.

Join friends and neighbors at the tree lighting ceremony Nov. 18, 6-8 pm, at the Clock Tower on Third Avenue. Musicians Josh Gregory, Hervy Hodges, and Mike Raye will entertain with classic holiday tunes, and members of the Sturgeon Bay High School choir will carol along Third Avenue. The lights go on at 7 pm, and horse-drawn wagon rides through the city will be offered.

Beginning Nov. 18, children are invited to send their letters to Santa via the mailbox located outside the SBVC, 36 S. Third Avenue.

Decorate the floats, put on your best holiday attire and enjoy Sturgeon Bay’s Holiday Parade on Nov. 19 beginning at 10 am. The parade marches from Sawyer Park up Oak Street to Madison Avenue, turns right at Maple Street and moves across the Oregon Street Bridge. To be part of the parade, contact the SBVC or fill out the entry form at sturgeonbay.net. Participation in the parade is free.

Meet Santa and take family pictures with him after the parade at the Door County Historical Museum, 11 am – 2 pm. Door County Trolley and horse-drawn wagon rides will be available 11 am – 2 pm.

Spend more time with Santa on Nov. 20, 9 – 11 am, during a special breakfast at Stone Harbor Resort & Conference Center.
