Start your holiday season with a visit to Sturgeon Bay for this weekend’s Christmas by the Bay! Carry that holiday joy through the rest of the weekend with local arts and crafts, music and a late-autumn hike.

Friday, November 18

Celebrate the Holiday Season

Sturgeon Bay hosts its annual Christmas by the Bay this weekend, beginning with an evening of music and a tree lighting ceremony at 7pm on Friday. The fun continues with a parade Saturday morning and breakfast with Santa on Sunday.

Holiday Market

Join local artists and artisans for an evening of local gift buying, holiday cheer and refreshments during the Holiday Market Pop-up Shop at Door County Makers Space on Third Avenue. 5 pm.

Saturday, November 19

Family Art Day

Join volunteers and staff of Peninsula School of Art for a morning of ceramic bowl-making for the art school’s SOUP! fundraiser in February. 9 am – 12 pm.

Celebration!

The Meadows Art Gallery in Sister Bay celebrates its fifth season with the annual Celebration show, featuring six local artists who have been with the gallery since its beginnings. Enjoy a glass of wine, meet the artists and view a fine selection of local artwork during the opening reception. 2 pm.

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever

Get into the Christmas spirit with more than two-dozen local children and adults with StageKids Theatre as they put on the beloved holiday classic The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. When a group of naughty misfit children takes over a church’s nativity story production, how will the newbie director and the rest of the cast pull it all together? 2 pm and 7 pm.

Old Timey Folk

Join duo Jess Holland and Nick Hoover for an evening of local, old timey folk peppered with tight harmonies at the Door County Brewing Co. 7 pm.

Sunday, November 20

Take A Hike

Join a Ridges naturalist for an afternoon ramble through the beautiful landscape of Logan Creek. 2 pm.

Green Bay Packers vs. Washington Redskins

The Packers (4-5-0) take on the Redskins (5-3-1) at FedExField on Sunday at 7:30 pm. Watch the action on NBC.
