Christmas by the Bay Contest Winners Announced

The annual Christmas by the Bay holiday parade kicked off celebrations throughout Sturgeon Bay on Nov. 17, with a total of 25 festive float entries. The 2018 award-winning parade floats were St. John Bosco Catholic School (Best Nonprofit entry) and Selvick Marine Towing (Best Business entry).

Winners of the 2018 holiday window-decorating contest among Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center (SBVC) members included Fatzo’s Subs & Pizza (first place), Cutting Boards and More (second place), and Door County Eye Associates (third place). Honorable mentions were awarded to Kevin’s Automotive, T. Simon Jewelers and Northern Territory.

SBVC has been spreading holiday cheer by giving away $1,000 to one person in the Moo-La-La Giveaway. On Dec. 14, Janet Grota of Sturgeon Bay was chosen to receive $1,000 in Moo-La-La gift certificates to spend at any of the 26 participating businesses. There are still a few gift certificates from the daily Moo-La-La prize drawings that are waiting for pickup.
