Christmas Concerts at Birch Creek

The Birch Creek Music Performance Center will present two Christmas at Birch Creek concerts Dec. 3 in its Juniper Hall, each featuring a guest appearance by the Sevastopol Choral Ensemble, directed by Trent Larson.

The first is a family concert at 2:30 pm, when faculty from the Symphony and the Percussion, Steel Pan and World Music sessions will bring the spectacular sounds of brass and percussion to life in classic holiday songs. Vocalist Cynthia Stiehl will also lead the audience in carol sing-alongs, with Sandy Bader accompanying her on the piano. Children ages 11 and younger will receive free admission.

For the 7 pm concert, the twinkling lights in the beautifully decorated concert hall will combine with the chimes, horns and bells of favorite holiday songs performed by an all-faculty ensemble of musicians. The performers include Dan Moore, program director of the Percussion, Steel Pan and World Music Program; Percussion faculty member Peter Naughton; and several Symphony faculty members: Matt Lee and Kevin Wood, trumpet; Darren Castellano, tuba; Tom Stark, trombone; and Dan O’Connell, horn.

Tickets for the concerts at Birch Creek, 3821 Cty E in Egg Harbor, are available at BirchCreek.org/Tickets or by calling 920.868.3763.
