City Reminds Drivers of Speed Limit Change

The City of Sturgeon Bay asks motorists to be mindful of their speeds on North 18th Avenue south of Alabama Street. North 18th Avenue has a 35-mph speed zone that reduces to 25 mph north of Florida Street. 

The city installed a digital driver-feedback sign last September thanks to the Door County Sheriff’s Office’s Crime Prevention Foundation of the Door County Community Foundation, which provided a sustainability grant that helped to finance approximately 50% of the costs needed to complete the project.
