Civics Games Regional Winners Advance to State

More than 150 students from 29 schools competed in the Wisconsin Newspaper Association Foundation’s Civics Games regional competitions, answering questions about the state budget, local elections, legislative term limits, quorums and other civics-related issues. Four regional competitions were held virtually via Zoom.

The three teams with the highest scores from each region will advance to the May 13 state championships, and each member of the state-championship winning team will receive a $2,000 scholarship to a Wisconsin college or university.

Teams advancing to the state finals include students from these high schools: River Falls, Superior (team #1), Northland Pines, Ashwaubenon, Seymour Community, New London, Dodgeville, Platteville and Lancaster (team #2).
