The August 20 session of Tuesdays with Jen at Artists Guild is titled “Sculpey Switchplate Covers,” meeting 10 am – 12 pm. Students will use colored polymer clay to create designs on switchplate covers. The class is $25 per person.

Local artist Lynn Gilchrist will teach Plein Air Painting on August 21, 8 – 11 am. Gilchrist will share her insights and shortcuts in the fun challenge of outdoor painting. Students will bring their own paints or pastels and easels. Cost is $60 per student and a supplies list is available online or at the store. The class will be held rain or shine – a shelter is available.

The popular “Bottle & Brush” meets on Aug. 22, 6:15 – 8:15 pm. Artist Jen Aldrich guides students through simple step-by-step instructions in creating their own acrylic paintings to take home. Students may bring a beverage to enjoy. Cost is $35 per student and includes all materials.
