Classes and Events at Artists Guild

After-school Youth Art Classes are in full swing at Artists Guild. The topic on Sept. 23 and 24 is “Stained Glass Cling Fish.” Instructor Sarah Bradley will teach kids to make clings with window paint in bright designs. Ages 5 – 8 meet on Monday from 3 – 4:30 pm for $25 per student and ages 9 – 12 meet on Tuesday from 3:30 – 5:30 pm for $30.

The topic for teens (ages 13 – 18) on Sept. 26 is “Who Am I?” Students will make collage self-portraits out of various papers and fabrics. The class meets from 3:30 – 5:30 pm for a cost of $30 per student. All materials included.

A special couples session of “Bottle & Brush” is scheduled for Sept. 26, 6:15 – 8:15 pm. Artist Jen Aldrich guides beginner students through step-by-step instructions in creating acrylic paintings on canvas. Participants are encouraged to bring beverages and snacks. Couples cost $60, and $35 for individuals, including materials.

The new monthly “Art Fundamentals” begins Sept. 28 with the topic of Acrylics. Instructors Sarah and Jeff Bradley will give students the basic knowledge needed to begin painting with this versatile, water-soluble medium. Geared to the beginner, this class runs from 10 am – 12 pm for $30, materials included.
