village of Sister Bay

The Village of Sister Bay is seeking qualified candidates for the following positions: Public Works Supervisor $25-$31 per hour. The Public Works Supervisor is responsible for the overall administration, operation, and maintenance of the Village’s parks, facilities, vehicles, and streets. This person directs and supervises Public Works staff, including full-time and part-time or seasonal employees, and often works alongside their employees.  The Supervisor is expected to make day-to-day decisions independently, oversee projects, and supervise contractors. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be at least 18-years of age.  At least 5 years of prior experience in a municipal public works department or related supervisory experience is required.  Associates degree or bachelor’s degree in business management or environmental science or related field is preferred.

Public Works Technician I, $18-22 per hour. The Public Works Technician will perform general labor and maintenance on Village streets, storm sewers, equipment, grounds, buildings, parks, and marina; and performs related duties as required.  Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be at least 18-years of age.  Prior experience with the operation of commercial equipment, grounds maintenance, carpentry, small engine repair is preferred.

Part-time Public Works Maintenance, $15-17 per hour. Public Works Maintenance will perform general labor and maintenance on Village streets, storm sewers, equipment, grounds, buildings, parks, and marina; and performs related duties as required.  Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be at least 16-years of age.  Prior experience with the operation of commercial equipment, grounds maintenance, carpentry, small engine repair is preferred.

Water/Wastewater Operator, $21-27 per hour. The Water/Wastewater Operator will work at the Wastewater Treatment plant and will work with the wastewater collection system as well as the water & distribution systems.Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be at least 18-years of age. Certifications in Water and Wastewater are desirable but not required.
