The Clearing Presents its Fall Workshop Program

The Clearing Folk School continues its Workshop Program of one- and two-day classes this fall.

Fall Workshop Program classes are in the arts, fine crafts, natural sciences and humanities and available through mid-November. Author and rural historian Jerry Apps is back with a newly added date of Oct. 28 for his “Writing from Your Life” class. Roger Kuhns will teach a one-day class “Natural & Geologic History of the Niagara Escarpment” and a two-day writing class as well, titled “Tell Your Story.” Other classes include “Drawing Expressive Portraiture” with Kate Roth, Glass Mosaics with Gary Chaudoir, Water-based Oil Painting with Marcia Nickols, Primitive Rug Hooking, Holiday Scherenschnitte (scissors paper cutting), and Cultivating Mindfulness with Beth Coleman. Experience The Clearing Folk School’s unique and fun one- and two-day workshops, all in a peaceful wooded setting.

Classes take place at The Clearing Folk School’s Jens Jensen Visitor Center located at 12171 Garrett Bay Road, Ellison Bay, from 9 am to 4 pm through Nov. 19. Pre-registration is required and is available by calling 920.854.4088 Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4 pm, or visiting theclearing.org.
