Climate Change Coalition Hosts Screening of ‘From the Ashes’

The Climate Change Coalition of Door County will host a screening of a new National Geographic documentary, From the Ashes, on June 21, 7 pm, at the Sevastopol Town Hall. The program is free and open to the public.

From Appalachia to the West’s Powder River Basin, From the Ashes goes beyond the rhetoric of the “war on coal” to present compelling and often heartbreaking stories about what’s at stake for the economy, health and climate. From the Ashes invites audiences to learn more about an industry on the edge and what it means for their lives.

From the Ashes premiered at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival on April 26. It will be released publicly June 25 and will air globally on the National Geographic channel in 171 countries and 45 languages later in 2017.
