Forest Recovery Project and Climate Change Coalition Plant 600 Trees

The Forest Recovery Project and the Climate Change Coalition coordinated this spring’s effort, planting 600 trees over the last two weeks on private lands in Egg Harbor, Fish Creek and Sturgeon Bay. Twenty volunteers pitched in. CCC collaborates with partner organizations in spring and fall plantings as a way to sequester carbon and thus combat climate change. Since 2016, the coalition and its partners have planted about 11,000 trees in the county. Submitted.

The Forest Recovery Project and Climate Change Coalition (CCC) coordinated this spring’s effort, planting 600 trees during the last two weeks on private lands in Egg Harbor, Fish Creek and Sturgeon Bay.
