Clippers Tie Spartans to Wrap Up Regular Season

Sturgeon Bay’s girls soccer team ended up in a 1-1 tie in its regular-season finale Tuesday at Clark Field against Luxemburg-Casco.

Riley Anderson scored the Clippers’ goal in the 55th minute. The Spartans tallied their goal in the 29th minute off of a direct kick by Emi Kuhn.

Sturgeon Bay goalkeeper Isabella Jimenez Sefyer made two saves, while L-C’s Tabi Lemens had five saves.

The Clippers, who ended the regular season with a record of 8-4-3, next host a WIAA Division 4 regional semifinal June 1 against New Holstein.
