Clippers Top First Packerland Boys Golf Match

Sturgeon Bay topped the team standings Thursday when the first Packerland Conference boys golf meet of the season was held at Cherry Hills.

For the nine-hole match, Sturgeon Bay’s top four golfers averaged under 50 strokes to record the top team score of 199, followed by Southern Door (218), Peshtigo (242), Gibraltar (261) and Oconto (266).

Peshtigo senior Grant Bauman carded a 42 on the par-36 nine for the top individual score, followed by Southern Door sophomore Finley Lavine (43), Sturgeon Bay senior Isaak Aune (44), Sturgeon Bay sophomore Tre Wienke (45) and Gibraltar sophomore Finn Salm (46) rounding out the top five.

Monday’s conference match scheduled in the Green Bay area at The Woods Golf Course was rescheduled to May 2.
