Clippers Win Boys Golf Match at The Woods

Sturgeon Bay’s boys golf team finished first at Tuesday’s Packerland Conference match at The Woods Golf Club in the Green Bay area.

The Clippers’ top-four golfers averaged 47 strokes for the nine holes to record the the top team score of 188, followed by Southern Door (200), Peshtigo (221), Sevastopol (227), Gibraltar (230), Oconto (237) and Kewaunee (255).

Southern Door’s Finley LaVine carded the top individual score of 38, a stroke ahead of Gibraltar’s Finn Salm (39) and two strokes in front of Peshtigo’s Grant Bauman (40) to round out the top three.

Sturgeon Bay’s Isaak Aune was fourth at 44, and Gibraltar’s Teddy Roth finished fifth at 45.

The next Packerland boys golf match is set for Thursday afternoon at the Peninsula Golf Course.
