Clothing Repaired During Day of Mending

The Harborettes Homemakers Club will sponsor a Day of Mending as a community-service project Oct. 23, 9 am – 1 pm, at the Bertschinger Community Center, 7860 Hwy 42 in Egg Harbor.

Take clothing or linens that need mending, and group members will sew on buttons, repair seams and patch items. (Sorry, no zippers.) Also check out the bake sale, which will help with expenses of the group’s projects. Donations of fabric that could be used in making book bags and wheelchair/walker bags will be most appreciated.
