Coffeehouse Concert By pat mAcdonald

The next installment of Door Community Auditorium’s (DCA) Coffeehouse Concert series on Feb. 24, 7 pm, will star local songwriter pat mAcdonald.

The concert will be presented in DCA’s cozy fireside lobby, with coffee and baked goods available for purchase.

Since his techno-folk pioneering Timbuk3 days, mAcdonald has been tinkering in relative obscurity. His one-man electro-blues experiments of the late ’90s and early 2000s led to the Lowebow-driven proto-rock of Purgatory Hill. Life-threatening illness in 2016 brought a long pause. Now, five years cancer-free, mAcdonald is writing, rediscovering the six-string and reanimating his pre-T3 acoustic roots with finger-style remakes from his back catalog. The new songs flirt with a twisted spirituality and hints of hope, embraced and defaced by his trademark darkish humor.

Tickets cost $17.50. Seating is limited, so advance ticket purchase is recommended. Tickets can be purchased online at, over the phone at 920.868.2728, or at the DCA box office, open Monday through Friday, 12-5 pm.

DCA is located at 3926 Hwy 42 in Fish Creek.
