College Scholarship Awards Available for Children of Police, Fire Department Members

The Wisconsin Electronic Security Association (WIESA), an official chartered chapter of the national Electronic Security Association (ESA), announces the availability of two $1,500 college scholarship awards for high school seniors whose parents are full-time, active members of a Wisconsin police or fire department. Through this program WIESA recognizes the academic and community achievements of the children of statewide First Responders.

Annually WIESA awards one Youth Scholarship in each service category. The top scoring state winner is submitted to the national ESA contest to compete with 16 other ESA Chapter winners. The first place national winner receives a $7,500 scholarship and the second place winner receives a $2,500 scholarship.

For submission information, and the rules and eligibility requirements students can go to wiesa.org. Qualifying students can directly access the application at wiesa.org/youth-scholarship-application/. WIESA application deadline is March 23, 2018. Applications must be submitted online through the WIESA link, on or before, this deadline to be accepted.
