Renegotiating North

Poet and McKnight Artist Fellow Jacob Lindberg discusses poems that challenge racial stereotypes to prompt writers to renegotiate what it means to be from the Upper Midwest. Free, but registration is required.

Co-writing Memoirs

Write On, HenschelHAUS Publishing and the Wisconsin Writers Association will present a panel discussion with co-authors of memoirs and their publisher. Free, but registration is required. Panelists include Judith Gwinn Adrian, Joshua Clauer, Héctor Colón, Kira Henschel and Pascual Rodriguez.

Craft of Writing Series: Plays

Join playwrights Jenny Magnus and Dana L. Stringer for three weekly Zoom talks on the craft of writing plays. The cost is $150 for three sessions, with a 10% discount for Write On members. Scholarships are available.

Writing Life Stories

Experiment with fun writing prompts to generate stories about your life in a supportive, nonjudgmental setting. The cost is $60 for the four-week class, with a 10% discount for Write On members. Scholarships are available.

Writing on the Door: Virtual Poetry Conference

Kwame Dawes and Naomi Shihab Nye will make keynote appearances. Learn from and enjoy readings, conversations and craft talks with Mauricio Kilwein Guevara, Donna Hilbert, Sean Hill, Su Hwang, Ed Bok Lee, Denise Low, January Gill O’Neil and Michael Torres. The cost is $200 for full registration. Scholarships are available.

KIDS WOW!: Create Your Own Picture Book

Only two weeks remain to register at the early-bird rate for our summer creative camp for writers ages 8-12, featuring John Coy. The cost is $140 before April 1 or $150 after.
