Commercial Fishing Discussed at Baileys Harbor Historical Society Meeting

The Baileys Harbor Historical Society will hold their June 6 meeting at the Baileys Harbor Town Hall at 7 pm. Trygvie Jensen, author of Wooden Boats & Iron Men and Through Waves and Gales Come Fishermen’s Tales, will speak on the history of commercial fishing in Baileys Harbor and Door County.

Jensen’s books relate the perilous adventures and colorful stories that make up the history of Door County commercial fishing. He will speak about when fishing was Door County’s major industry, and the challenges fishermen have faced over the years.
