Communicating About Climate Change

Dominique Brossard

“Talking about Climate Change Effectively with Media and the Public” will be the topic of a Climate Change Coalition of Door County presentation Sept. 13, 7 pm, at the Kress Pavilion. The presenter is Dominique Brossard, a professor and the chair of UW-Madison’s Life Sciences Communication Department.

Brossard will emphasize the need for clear, easy-to-understand communication about climate-change issues to engage different audiences successfully and promote well-informed action. She is an internationally known expert in public-opinion dynamics  

related to controversial scientific issues, as well as an affiliate of the Robert & Jean Holtz Center for Science and Technology Studies, the Energy Institute, the Global Health Institute, the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies and the Morgridge Institute for Research, all based at UW-Madison.
