Community Band Performs Veterans Day Concert, Nov. 7

The Algoma Community Band will present its annual Veterans Day concert on Nov. 7, 7 pm in the Elementary School Performing Arts Center (PAC). Tom Mueller is the director of the band. He has chosen a couple of Karl King marches, which are always a hit with audiences. Other musical selections are lighter and make for easy listening.

Dave Kopetsky will take over the baton to direct “Red, White, and Brass,” a medley of American music originally arranged for The Canadian Brass. John Nielsen will direct “Armed Forces Salute,” honoring all veterans from the different military branches.

Following the concert, join the band in thanking our veterans at a reception in the school cafeteria. All are welcome.
