Community Clinic of DC Receives Grant

(Left to right) Jane Herlitz, executive director of the Community Clinic of Door County, accepts the grant check from Marcia Smith, board member of the Door County Community Foundation.

The Door County Community Foundation recently awarded the Community Clinic of Door County a Sustainability Grant from the Health and Human Needs Funds to provide assistance to clinic patients with expenses related to lab testing and medication costs.

The Community Clinic of Door County is a charitable organization that is volunteer-based and donor-driven. The clinic relies exclusively on the generosity of their professional volunteer medical staff, donors and community partners to provide affordable quality health care to those in our community who are uninsured or under-insured.

“We are so fortunate to have a local clinic that can provide these essential health care services to Door County residents who may not otherwise have access to care,” said Marcia Smith, board member of the Door County Community Foundation.

Services are provided by licensed medical professionals. Fees are based on family size and income according to the Federal Poverty Guidelines. All patients are seen regardless of ability to pay.
