Community Clinic to be Established at Southern Door School District

The Southern Door County School District announces the creation of the Southern Door Community Clinic to provide health and wellness services to students, staff and community residents. The clinic is an extension of a 25-year partnership with Ministry Door County Medical Center and will occupy leased space at the district.

“As leaders of our community’s health and wellness, we are pleased that this new facility will provide access to Ministry’s outstanding services to even more individuals and families,” said Gerald Worrick, president and CEO of Ministry Door County Medical Center.

Southern Door Superintendent Patti Vickman says the partnership will benefit students, staff and local residents, keeping the community healthier by providing preventative and primary care. “Southern Door School District is the heart of our community,” she says. “To be able to provide health care right here is just a huge benefit for all.”

The Board of Education approved a facility use and rental agreement at the Oct. 26 meeting to establish the clinic at the school with an opening date of January 2016.
