Community Connections Hits 1-year Milestone

The Door County Partnership for Children and Families (DCPCF) announces their Community Connections service has hit its one-year anniversary milestone.

“This past year has been a wonderful experience. I have had the pleasure of working with some truly wonderful Door County families,” said Community Connector Rebecca Nicholson.

Community Connections offers support to families via Nicholson, who offers peer support, referrals to existing service providers and programs as appropriate, information, enrichment opportunities, social connection opportunities, and community engagement opportunities.

Currently, the DCPCF has one Community Connector on staff with the intention to add more in the future based on need. So far, Nicholson has connected more than 27 Door County families to resources.

Families may be referred to the Community Connections service by their child’s school, a service provider, a peer, nonprofit agency, or they can register to meet with a Community Connector on their own. For more information or to register to meet with Nicholson, visit doorcountyparents.com, email [email protected] or call 920.421.3145.
