Community Foundation Awards Grants

The Door County Community Foundation (DCCF) has awarded Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Northeastern Wisconsin a $5,000 sustainability grant from the Door County Children and Youth Fund to enhance programming. BBBS programs match volunteer mentors with Door County youth to support healthy behaviors and decision-making, which lead to positive academic, socio-emotional and behavioral outcomes.

Money Management Counselors (MMC) recently received a $2,253 grant from the Door County Education Fund to expand its counseling credentials. MMC teaches financial literacy and provides tools to promote sound financial decision making. This grant will allow MMC to meet clients’ needs by adding financial social work certifications and workshops.
