Community Invited to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church’s ‘The Longest Night’ Service

The community is invited to “The Longest Night: A Service of Light in the Midst of Darkness” on Dec. 21, 6 pm, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Sturgeon Bay. Christmas (among other holidays) can be a difficult time. The loss of loved ones, the anguish of a broken relationship, health concerns, loneliness or simply the pressure of preparing for the season can take their toll. A space and a time is needed to acknowledge the sadness and concern that may be present, instead of tucking it away.

On Dec. 21, “The Longest Night” will be a time for remembering and sharing. The Prince of Peace Church will be graced with candles and soft music. Comfort will come through music, readings, some time for quiet reflection and moments for meditation. There is also an opportunity to light a candle in memory of a loved one, or as a sign of hope. Fellowship and refreshments will follow the service. For more information, call 920.743.7750 or visit princeofpeacesb.com.
