Community Members Show Support for Donor Status at Flag Raising

On April 19, more than 40 people attended a flag raising at Door County Medical Center (DCMC) to honor National Donate Life Month. DCMC joins with The BloodCenter of Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Donor Network to encourage community members to indicate their willingness to be organ, tissue and eye donors through state and national registries. Participants in the flag raising included Door County residents and DCMC staff members who have been touched by organ donation and transplants.

“By registering as donors, we all have the potential to capture and pass on life, comfort and hope to others,” said Gerald Worrick, President and CEO of DCMC.
