The Sturgeon Bay Area Community Thanksgiving Dinner, sponsored by the Sturgeon Bay United Methodist Church, will be held as a carryout event again this year, but deliveries will be available for homebound individuals. The home-cooked meal will include turkey, mashed potatoes, dressing, gravy, squash, corn and an individual fruit pie.
To reserve dinners, call the church office at 920.743.3241 by Nov. 22. Reservations are limited.
Pick up carryout meals at the church, 836 Michigan St., between 2 pm and 5 pm on Thanksgiving Day. Enter at the 9th Street entrance, and follow the arrows to the canopy, where a volunteer will place the meals in your vehicle’s back seat or trunk. Then exit onto 9th Street.
Deliveries will be made after 3 pm. Meal recipients should place a TV tray or chair outside their door so the driver has a place to put the meal. The driver will also call to let you know your meal has been delivered.
Sister Bay Moravian Church’s free Community Thanksgiving Dinner will be drive-through and takeout this year. Order meals by calling 920.854.4080; then pick them up on Thanksgiving Day between 11:30 am and 1 pm at 10924 Old Stage Road in Sister Bay.
