Comstock Featured in Neville Annual Exhibition

The Neville Public Museum opened the highly competitive 67th Art Annual Juried Exhibition on Nov. 5, an exhibit featuring some of the finest, regional artwork.

The exhibit showcases 40 artists from 20 communities in northeastern Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, including Jan Comstock of Baileys Harbor. This year’s judge, Randall Berndt of Madison, selected the 40 from a total of 91 artists who submitted entries in a variety of media including paintings, drawings, original prints, photographs, sculpture and ceramics.

The 67th Art Annual Juried Exhibition will be on display until February 12, 2012.

The Art Annual, established by the Neville Public Museum in 1942, accepts submissions from artists living in Northeastern Wisconsin or in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Each year a judge or judges (who are artists with either museum, gallery or teaching experience) from outside of the area reviews the entries and chooses “the best of the best” for inclusion in the exhibition.
