Congratulations to Carla Marr

I’ve been around all different schools for over 50 some years.
I’ve worked with the whole spectrum of o’ so many kinds of peers.
And now I know Gibraltar has many who truly set the bar,
But we’re hard pressed to find any as enthusiastic as Carla Marr.

Besides serving there’s planning and ordering before anyone sits and dines.
Food from purveyors and commodities all falling within fed guidelines.
Supported by a staff of only 2, puts out six choices most every day;
Sometimes serving up to 380, “that’s amazing” the DPI was heard to say.

With kids today so active, just imagine all the calories they burn.
Carla and her staff motto, “Hungry kids, just can’t learn.”
She’s constant motion – they all are, like a hive of worker bees.
Her good day at work is “having a kindergarten hug around the knees.”
