Congratulations to Jimmy Sorensen

Jimmy’s been working at Lampert since the year 2008,
Wife Sara and daughter Freya meant this real job couldn’t wait.
He has true Island roots and for six years did roam,
Then drawn like a magnet; he says “All roads lead you home.”

They pestered and hounded him with offers that kept “pilin’”
Now as he states, “Announcing’s the best job on the Island.”
“I sit right up front; get anything from the stand.”
Says he’ll continue this gig “‘til they rip the mike from my hand.”

He’s a celebrity for one day without glaring spotlights,
Enjoying it even more as he gets out of working Sunday nights.
A more sincere person I don’t think you’ll ever see,
Will spend the rest of his life on the Island raising that family.
