When you share your time like Joni,
To all others there is no doubt.
Like a badge on a pressed uniform,
She displays the values of a scout.

She says it’s a special time in scouting.
There’ll be stories, songs and tears.
For while we’re talking of Lowe’s fine group,
They’ve just celebrated 100 years.

With daughter Allura and seven others,
Her troop volunteers no questions or qualms.
“We stress courage, confidence and character.”
And like most leaders a passion inherited from moms.

Some girls today dream of fortune,
Aspire to be Kardashians or Snookies.
My money’s on these kids and leader Joni,
They’re a Door treasure, plus everyone loves the cookies.
