Congratulations to Laura Seaquist of Bearded Heart Coffee!

There’s a new coffee shop in Door by the name of Bearded Heart,
With an awesome barista named Laura Seaquist who’s been there almost since the start.
She’s there once a week serving up delectable breakfasts, lunches and coffee,
Her favorites being goat’s milk cappuccino and the morning buns – so buttery!

A native of Door County, her name might ring a bell,
For she’s the bakery manager at Seaquist Orchards Farm Market as well!
When you ask her how long she’s been on the farm market’s staff
She’ll smile and remark, “Since I was born!” with a laugh.

She has also served customers at Chef’s Hat Café on Highway 42,
You see, serving customers is just what she likes to do!
A graduate of Wheaton College with a business degree,
Owning her own coffee shop someday is one of her dreams.

But when she’s not serving up coffee, soup or buns,
You can find her drawing, swimming, hiking or going for runs.
Next year with friends she’s going on a four-month trip out west,
To raise money for Guatemalan school children by hiking the 2,663-mile Pacific Crest.

So the next time you’re on Highway 57 on the quiet side of the county,
Stop in to see Laura while enjoying the tastes and smells of Bearded Heart Coffee!
