Congratulations to Piks!

Don’t want to steal his honor or glory,
Just thought his fans might like to hear his story.
To learn about the man who writes “Server of the Week” rhymes
Look back and see how it started at the beginning of time.

It was July 1946 on the 24th day –
He came into the world in the usual way.
His loving parents scooped him up into their arms,
And raised him in Cedarburg, WI, a town with many charms.

He played b-ball for sport, a UW – La Crosse alum,
Now cherry pit spit judging on Door County’s thumb.
On school boards, booster clubs, and church boards he’s the boss.
Retired after 35 years of teaching, on the golf course trying for an albatross.

He has a wife, two daughters, a grandson, and three cats.
Poet, teacher, bartender, preacher, he wears so many hats.
So when you’re out on the town and you see your friend Piks,
Tip your hat, raise your glass, and say “Happy Birthday #66!”
