“Connection – a Portraiture of Yunnan, China” at Meadows Gallery

The Meadows Gallery will host the photo exhibition “Connection- a Portraiture of Yunnan, China” from Nov. 1 – 30. The display is the collection of work by Door County photographer, Dennis Connolly.

Earlier this year, Connolly joined renowned fine art photographer, Doug Beasley, for an exploration of the far Southwestern Province of China, under the guidance of Jeannee and Brian Linden. During this voyage, he created a powerful body of work while connecting with this diversely exotic land and people.

“My focus tends to connect with and frame people in daily activities in order to share the experience,” writes Connolly.

Connolly’s formal education primarily involved health care sciences, but he has always had a keen appreciation for the arts and photography.

The Door County photographers Dan Anderson and Suzanne Rose have served as his mentors and instructors. Connolly’s photos have been juried into shows at the Miller Art Museum and the Hardy Gallery.

This exhibit is free and open to the public.

The Meadows Gallery is located in the front hall gallery of the Meadows Apartments at Scandia Village, 10554 Applewood Road, in Sister Bay.
