Contests Open to All Wisconsin Writers

Wisconsin People & Ideas, the Wisconsin Academy’s quarterly magazine of Wisconsin thought and culture, regularly publishes some of Wisconsin’s best fiction and poetry. To become a part of this literary canon, participate in their annual fiction and poetry contests, open to all Wisconsin residents and students.

The judges for this year are author/historian Jerry Apps and Wisconsin Poet Laureate Bruce Dethlefsen. Prizes include winning up to $500, publication in Wisconsin People & Ideas, and a residency at Shake Rag Alley in Mineral Point.

Short stories and poetry submissions will be accepted until Dec. 15.
