Coronavirus Food Assistance Program Deadline is Sept. 11

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Farm Service Agency reminds farmers and ranchers that the deadline to apply for the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP) is Sept. 11. This program provides direct relief to producers who have faced COVID-19-related price declines and additional marketing costs.

More than 160 commodities are eligible for CFAP, including certain nonspecialty crops, livestock, dairy, wool, specialty crops, eggs, aquaculture, nursery crops and cut flowers. Find details about all eligible commodities, payment rates, calculations and how to apply at farmers.gov/cfap.

First-time customers seeking one-to-one support with the application process may call 877.508.8364 to speak with a USDA employee. This is a recommended first step before producers engage with Farm Service Agency staff members at their local USDA Service Center.
