Cottage Row Framing & Gallery Presents Jack Anderson

“Grand View – Ellison Bay” by Jack Anderson.

The second in Cottage Row Framing & Gallery’s 2010 summer exhibits, “Door County Seasons,” will feature watercolorist Jack Anderson in a special “meet the artist” event that will unveil more than 40 paintings. The public event will be held on Saturday, July 10 from 10 am – 1 pm.

Door County has been home for Anderson and his wife Sue for many years; together they owned and managed the Jack Anderson Gallery in Sister Bay for nearly 40 years. Following retirement from the gallery, Anderson has devoted himself to painting the peninsula’s most beautiful places.

“It is so interesting to return to a favorite spot over and over again, and observe the changes,” said Anderson. “Some are dynamic and others are subtle. But no matter the season, there is always something special and spectacular about each day; the subject matter is endless.”

“Door County Seasons” will include Anderson’s watercolors in a variety of sizes. The artist will also have note-cards available for purchase.

Located 1/2 mile south of Fish Creek on Highway 42 in the big red barn at Orchard Country Winery & Market, Cottage Row Framing & Gallery is open during the summer Monday through Saturday, 10 – 5 pm, and Sundays from 10 – 4 pm through October. For more information, call 920.868.2626.
