County League Seeks Umpires

The Door County Baseball League is seeking umpires for the 2021 season. Umpire-in-Chief Roger Van Lanen said that those who are interested in becoming a baseball umpire should seek certification through the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) or document their experience to be considered. 

Candidates will take the WIAA test and be required to have a background check. Umpires are compensated for each game they officiate. The 17-game 2021 season will kick off May 9. Contact Van Lanen at 920.609.2214 or [email protected].
