Couple Falls in Love All Over Again – With Eagle Tower Ramp Walk

Al and Barb Fox have fallen in love all over again – with their near-daily walk up the ramp to the top of Eagle Tower

Well into their 80s and married for more than 60 years, they began camping at Peninsula State Park in 1961 and eventually became part-time residents of Ephraim. Golfers might recognize Al, who worked at the Peninsula State Park Golf Course for almost 30 years. Barb is a longtime Ephraim Historical Foundation volunteer and an avid bridge player.

Navy veteran Al sports his Navy cap while they walk the ramp unhurriedly and talk to each other and those they pass, and it’s not unusual for Al to receive thanks for his military service from passersby. He, in turn, thanks his lucky stars to be walking up the ramp with Barb, surrounded by treetops, as they make their way to the top of the tower.
