COVID-19 Webinar: Overview of CARES Act

Senator Ron Johnson will give an overview of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act in a webinar tomorrow at 12 pm.
The historic $2 trillion federal stimulus package, known as the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act and signed into law by President Trump last week, aims to mitigate the economic damage of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The sweeping new law provides $350 billion for small business assistance, $250 billion for direct payments to individuals and families, $250 billion in unemployment insurance benefits and $500 billion in corporate aid. While the stimulus package is great news for the economy and businesses across the state, the new law can be difficult to navigate.
