Craft Your Story

Write On, Door County will sponsor a workshop exploring how to write your family’s stories with author Genevieve Davis on Nov. 30, 11 am – 2 pm, in the Egg Harbor/Fish Creek area. Exact location provided with registration.

How can you use family letters, photo albums, newspaper articles, and other records and resources to craft your family’s story? Author Genevieve Davis leads participants through ways of accessing these materials to write memoirs and develop your voice along the way. Bring a letter, object, photo, newspaper clipping, or family story along for writing exercises.

Davis is the author of Secret Life, Secret Death. She spent 10 years unearthing the story of her grandmother’s involvement in crime in Chicago and northern Wisconsin. A professional artist, Davis is also a filmmaker and director.
