Craig Blietz Selected for “Birds in Art” Exhibition

An array of fresh perspectives and artistic insights by 112 worldwide artists comprises the internationally renowned 2016 Birds in Art exhibition, Sept. 10 – Nov. 27, at the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum in Wausau.

Sister Bay’s Craig Blietz is among seven Wisconsin artists to participate in this year’s exhibition. His oil painting “Brahman Topside – Cattle Egret,” depicting the interrelationship between Brahman cattle and the cattle egret, will be shown alongside works from 33 international artists and 79 artists from the United States. These artists were selected for the 2016 exhibition from entries submitted by 581 artists. A 132-page full-color, illustrated Birds in Art catalogue featuring every artwork along with artists’ statements is available through the Museum.
