Local artists will open their homes and studios to the public for the annual Sturgeon Bay Holiday Art Crawl scheduled for Nov. 22 – 23. The crawl will feature a wide range of artwork in a variety of styles and media, including oil paintings, pastels, watercolors, acrylics and mixed media, glassworks, woodwork, pottery, weaving and jewelry. Many items are ideal for gift giving or adding to holiday home décor.
For those who have never participated in an art crawl, this is an opportunity to meet and chat with artists in their own studios and/or homes and see artwork on display in a relaxing environment. Participating artists are Myrna Cohn, Karen Lee DeNoto, Michael Doerr, Anne Egan, Faith Frykman, Lynn Gilchrist, Doug and Barb Henderson, Liz Maltman, Wence and Sandra Martinez, Pat Olson, Popelka Trenchard, Rick Risch, Mac Schueppert, Linda Sheard, Madonna Siles, Deb Stroh-Larson, Barbara Sweeney and Lou Williams.
Visitors can choose to stop at a few or all of the locations. A printable version of the studio map can be found at the website: faithmarian.wix.com/2014crawl.
The art crawl is free. Visitors will be welcomed from 10 am to 3 pm on both days. There will be lots of treats to eat and drink. People can also register at each location for a chance to win a maple wood breadboard (valued at $275) created by Michael Doerr.
