Creative Achievement

“Shy Fawn” by Deborah Dendler.

Door County sculptor Deborah Dendler won an award at the 115th Annual Exhibition of the Fellowship of the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, in Philadelphia, Penn. Dendler’s bronze sculpture, “Sleeping” won the Braverman award for “recognition of creative and professional achievement.”

Dendler is an alumnus of the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, where she studied painting, drawing and sculpture.

Closer to home, Dendler’s drawing “Bella Principessa” is exhibited at the Miller Art Center’s Annual Juried Exhibition in Sturgeon Bay, from Sept. 20 to Nov. 5. More of Dendler’s work can be seen at deborahdendler.com.
