Crossroads at Big Creek Offers “Fantastic Flyers” Course

Soar with fantastic flyers and learn the mysteries of migration at Crossroads at Big Creek’s next family program Aug. 1. Search the routes to Wisconsin of the Monarch Butterfly, robins, orioles, and cranes. The program begins at 10 am at the Collins Learning Center. It’s free and open to learners of all ages.

During the parking lot expansion project, parking will be available much of the time, but when heavy equipment is present, visitors should park at the Maintenance Building (east of the main entrance) or at the Astronomy Campus parking lot (intersection of Cove Road and Utah Street).

Crossroads at Big Creek is made up of three properties: Ida Bay, The Cove, and the Big Creek Preserves. The Collins Learning Center, located at 2041 Michigan Street, is open 1 – 3 pm Tuesday through Saturday during the summer. Restrooms and trails are always open.
