Crossroads at Big Creek Vintage and Antique Treasure Sale

The Door County Historical Society will hold a Vintage/Antique Treasure Sale at Crossroads at Big Creek on Friday, July 30 from 9 am – 1 pm. Funds from the sale will be used to purchase artifacts for the historical buildings.

On Sunday, August 1, the special event at the Historical Village at Crossroads will be a Spinning Demonstration featuring Paddi Elliot, who has been spinning yarn from raw wool for 16 years. She will share her interest in the past, using a replica of an Ashford spinning wheel from the 1860s.

On Tuesday, August 2 at 7 pm, the Door Peninsula Astronomical Society will hold their August meeting at the Stonecipher Astronomy Center. Professor Ray Stonecipher will present “Cosmic Distances Part 2.” Refreshments will be served. Attendees are asked to use the Utah Street Entrance to reach the Astronomy Campus.

Summer education programs take place from Monday through Thursday at 11 am, featuring a variety of topics and free tours from 1:30 – 3:30 pm.
